This crazy theory seems to be a rising trend amongst the marijuana smoking community. Increasingly people have been informing me that they are taking Diazepam (valium) to help cure marijuana addiction. The most common question regarding valium is:
Does taking Valium help me quit marijuana?
Although an interesting idea, it will not help you quit weed. These are two completely different drugs with conflicting results.
Apparently, the thinking is that if your body is relaxed and your mind is slowed, you will have no reason to smoke weed. Has that ever been true before? Valium is also known to help you sleep. (This is true, Valium will knock you out!) Sounds like a good substitute for weed, right?
Well…. Again… Not really!
The reality is that the effect of Valium is not even close to the effect of marijuana! This will create a very different state of mind and is caused by a different type of drug.
The only plus I can see is that Valium helps you sleep, and insomnia is certainly a problem when you try to stop smoking weed.
But forget about all that for a second….
This stuff is overkill!
Taken regularly, Valium is extremely bad for you.
All this reminds me of the over prescribed drugs ‘Ritalin’ & ‘Dexies’ (dexamphetamine)
Both are intense drugs with strong effects similar to illegal drugs like ‘Speed’ or ‘Crystal Meth’. Yet, still to this day, these drugs are both ‘prescribed’ and handed to children across the world to help control energy levels, over excitement or even just general bad behaviour.
The end does not justify the means.
A Valium addiction is much worse then the marijuana addiction that you are trying to quit.
It’s important that you don’t accidentally upgrade your addiction to something even worse!!
Beware of any prescription drugs and even alcohol. Instead of replacing marijuana, just stick to flushing all toxins from your body and you will have no problems feeling better.
Marijuana is a natural product!
So stick to natural products to help you quit weed!

conquering the cigarette dependence…?
Is there any existing big hazard of the legalization of marihauna? I actually aren’t able to help experiencing that there is some thing real screwy with the principle…l
What is actually your prized most desired varieties of marihauna?
Keep posting stuff like this i really like it
Nice post, thanks for writing!
MJ doesn’t cause addiction as other drugs…Unless you mix it with cigarette (nicotine)..
I’ll say, you just like to get stoned, lazy and procrastinate..
No bad pun intended, I’m smoking a fat one writing this.
And also want to stop weed & cigarette( for a change ).
Hey! I just wanted to say your blog is one of the nicely laid out, most inspirational I have come across in quite a while. Thx!
Of course it won’t help cure a marijuana addiction…you can’t cure an addiction that doesn’t exist, as marijuana is not addictive.
True Kris! Mixing it withg cigs makes you crave it. Otherwise t doesn’t cause huge addiction like some drugs do. To be fair I still find it hard to stop smoking…..;l But i have it around me all the time so doesnt help
The Swoa is awe inspiring?

I am simply getting my ft moist in marketing media and starting to learn how to do it nicely – assets like this weblog publish are very helpful. As our Site is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. Hi there this post is nice and interesting. I’ll use it for my project
. Can you comment me some related articles I could use too?
Hey thanks for yet another nice and interesting post. Where do you get your inspiration for all this
? –
I started to use valium a few months ago while I was smoking weed(mostly some weed
to calm down) , now I stopped smoking weed.
So yes it can help you quit smoking weed.
I still smoke, it won’t help you quit smoking(at least that’s my experience).
I am getting bored with the valium(hardly any creativity present),
but at least no more weigthloss due to constant anxiety(social phobia).
I might try valium in combination with dexamphetamine.
I could also try combatting my Asperger’s or whatever it might be
with hormones(progesterone cream).
Valium can have different effects(try dissolving under the tongue),
and with many drugs you can get addicted.
For some they can be very helpfull for others they can be destructive.
So I dissagree with you that valium(apperently made from potatoes)
cannot stop you smoking weed as I did stop smoking weed with valium.
Am I happier now ? (I guess not ,as weed gave the brain a certain stimulus,
good or bad: able to think new thougts but also give severe panic attacks)
Having been a heavy stoner for 12 years, I actually found valium to be very useful in quitting. This article is just another sanctimonious finger-wag at anything associated with pharmaceutical drugs.
As with cannabis, you need to draw a line between use and abuse. Taking a D5 valium every now and then, especially when you’re experiencing crippling anxiety, insomnia and general withdrawl from cannabis works wonders. I was not a cannabis user, I was a cannabis abuser, as are most people who feel the need to quit smoking weed.
To move from smoking 10 to 20 joints a day for 12 years, to nothing at all, is a big shock to the system.
To write off the USE (as opposed to abuse) of a therapeutic drug like valium is patently ignorant. If used correctly at mild therapeutic dosages, as opposed to handfulling back D10s every couple of hours at infinitum, valium can be a very useful short-term aid to overcome the anxiety heavy cannabis users experience for the first few weeks after going cold turkey.
Please don’t allow your own personal politics regarding prescription drugs to rob vulnerable people of a potentially useful tool in combating the early withdrawl symptoms of heavy cannabis abuse. I speak from personal experience, valium helped me a lot. I used it in mild doses for 3 weeks and guess what, I didn’t develop some wild and out of control addiction to it. Your post smacks of the same anti-drug ignorance usually favoured by the anti-marijuana set.
